Alpine Shipping Two New Aftermarket HD Radio Receivers

Receivers are compatible with Alpine’s TuneIt smartphone sound tuning app

Two new Alpine aftermarket HD Radio receivers are shipping to retailers.

The CDE-HD148BT and CDE-HD149BT CD receivers are compatible with Alpine’s TuneIt smartphone audio tuning app. With the app, available on the App Store or Google Play, users can adjust detailed sound settings through an intuitive graphical user interface on both an iPhone or Android smartphone, the company says.

Both units have a built-in HD Radio receiver and a rear USB port for high-speed USB connections to music libraries stored on an iPod, iPhone or USB drive. The tuners offer Pandora Internet audio control from Android and iPhone smartphones. They’re compatible with SiriusXM with a separate tuner and subscription.

The receivers also feature basic control of iPhone apps through the App Direct Mode, which also displays available metadata on the faceplate.

The CDE-HD149BT has a three line dot matrix display and lists for $320. The CDE-HD148BT has a two line dot display and lists for $280. Both receivers are available at authorized Alpine retailers.
