Set to take place in Accra, Ghana, the 11th World Conference of AMARC, or AMARC 11, will focus on how community radio contributes to a global community. This five day festival will take place from Aug. 10–14.
“More than ever, community radio presents itself as a unique resource for reaffirming and reconciling a world of dualities into a global community founded on equity in diversity,” says the conference’s website.
The conference will address how to deal with those dualities by focusing on the following themes: community radio, holistic security and sustainable development; community radio, culture and identity security; and community radio, conflict and institutional security.
The conference will be held at the Mensvic Hotel at East Legon.
