Among Top-Billing Stations, Clear Channel and Infinity Dominate

All of radio’s top-10-billing stations are in New York or L.A. Four of the top 10 are AMs. All but one are owned by Clear Channel or Infinity.

WLTW(FM) remained tops from the year before, with $69.6 million in estimated revenue in 2003. The No. 10 station, KOST(FM), brought in $49.8 million, BIA believes.
KFI(AM) was the big mover on the list, up from 18th place in 2002 to seventh last year. WINS(AM) moves up from third to second, switching places with KIIS(FM). KPWR(FM) moved from seventh to fifth. WFAN(AM) fell three slots.
Overall radio revenues, the company found, increased 3.1% over 2002. BIAfn thinks radio revenue will grow 5.5% this year.
