Ampegon and Transradio Join Forces

Suppliers create cooperation agreement

Transmitter manufacturers and Digital Radio Mondiale consortium founding members Ampegon Group and Transradio SenderSysteme Berlin AG have created a strategic business cooperation agreement.

Ampegon has been a transmission and antenna systems provider for more than 75 years, while Transradio has been a manufacturer of radio broadcasting systems for many decades.

The collaboration is primarily based on Transradio’s longwave and medium-wave transmitter TRAM line and Ampegon’s expertise with comprehensive antenna products. Ampegon’s product line of shortwave transmitters and wide range of radio antenna systems will be extended by the TRAM line.

The companies will make joint offers based on customer requirements, in addition to sharing resources for engineering and site-specific installations, as well as global marketing and sales activities, according to Transradio CEO Jochen Huber.

“We are already successfully cooperating with Ampegon on various ongoing customer contracts in Egypt and Algeria and are very happy to expand this cooperation for many other future projects,” said Transradio CEO Jochen Huber. “The product ranges of both companies complement each other in a perfect way.”

“Ampegon welcomes Transradio as a partner company,” said Ampegon CEO Josef Troxler. Transradio with its proven experience and excellent reputation fits very well into our corporate landscape. With the addition of Transradio’s expertise and its longwave and medium wave product line, Ampegon will strengthen its position within the global radio transmission market.”
