Audio Processing Technology will releasing the Worldnet Oslo and WorldNet Ohio in April at the NAB convention.
The company (which has other products with place names, including Chicago, Rio, Milano and Tokyo) says the new codecs deliver low-delay audio over T1, E1, TC/IP and ISDN networks.
The Oslo can network WAN/LANs over synchronous circuits, in addition to sending audio over the same circuit simultaneously. This feature will reduce the cost to broadcasters attempting to network remote stations within a radio group, APT stated.
Also on display will be a variety of tools to enable third-party manufacturers to implement the apt-X compression algorithm.
