BBC World Service Taps Williams

Gwyneth Williams has been appointed director of English networks and news for the BBC World Service.

Gwyneth Williams has been appointed director of English networks and news for the BBC World Service.

She will be responsible for all BBC international radio programs in English. She is currently head of radio current affairs and editor of the BBC Reith Lectures.

Williams takes over her new position in June, succeeding Phil Harding who is retiring from the BBC after 38 years.
