The New York State Broadcasters Association has announced that long-time Buffalo radio personality Sandy Beach will be inducted into the NYSBA Hall of Fame at the New York Broadcast Leadership and Hall of Fame Luncheon.
The Oct. 19 luncheon is to be held concurrently at the Jacob Javits Center with the NAB Show New York.
A release describes Beach as a “Western New York Legend, having been a fixture in Buffalo radio for over 35 years.” Along the way he’s been nominated three times for Billboard’s Personality of the Year award. He’s in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work as a DJ.
Beach has also worked in station management and in other markets such as Dallas, Milwaukee and San Francisco.
