Bid4Spots’ First Online Radio Auction Approaches

Bid4Spots’ First Online Radio Auction Approaches

Bid4Spots said it has signed 200 Internet radio stations in the first month of announcing a reverse auction for buying and selling advertising for independent online radio.
The company hopes to have 2,000 stations by the end of March. Bid4Spots also operates a reverse auction marketplace for terrestrial radio.
The first auction for online stations is Jan. 17. It invited Internet broadcasters to view a demo.
The California-based company is using Spacial Audio’s StreamAds as its platform to schedule, track and manage the advertising for broadcasters. In the reverse auctions, stations compete for advertisers’ dollars and bid ad rates down.
Bid4Spots is touting the “targeted, affluent and tech-savvy” nature of the online radio audience.
