Bilotta New President/CEO of Buckley Broadcasting

Board moves swiftly after Rick Buckley’s death

Joe Bilotta has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Buckley Broadcasting in the wake of Rick Buckley’s death this weekend.

Bilotta had been chief operating officer of the Connecticut-based company for 10 years, and he’s been with the company for more than four decades. He is a former chairman of the RAB board and remains on that body. He also has served six years on the NAB board and is the affiliate board representative on the New Jersey Broadcasters Association.

“It is with a profound sadness that we in Buckley Radio move forward after Rick’s tragic and untimely death. We will all strive to remain in lockstep with his thoughts and ideas,” stated Bilotta.

Rick Buckley died of a brain hemorrhage Sunday. He ran the broadcaster, created in 1956, for more than 40 years. The firm has 17 stations in six markets.
