Blackburn Radio, a Canadian radio broadcaster with 14 stations in Ontario, has settled on Specialty Data Systems’ Symphony broadcast business software.
Walter Ploegman is director of operations and marketing for Blackburn Radio. SDS quoted him saying his goal was to not only improve efficiency at a market level, but to provide consolidated real-time data for the head office.
Previously the stations had a variety of decentralized programs.
Symphony handles programming, traffic, sales, operations and accounting; it allows for separate stations to automatically communicate with each other and headquarters.
