The American division of Italian broadcaster RAI has purchased a Stage Tec Cantus digital audio mixing console.
The system, including two Nexus audio routers, will be used in the main radio studio of the broadcast complex. It will be used for audio production, feature productions and dubbings by the RAI Corp. in New York.
The Cantus digital system consists of main console, optional slave consoles, separate channel processor and Nexus routing system. It uses bidirectional fiber-optic cables interconnecting the components and audio processing with 40 bits floating-point arithmetic within the channel.
