CBC/Radio-Canada Wins 2022, 2024 Olympic Broadcast Rights

2022 Winter Olympics will take place in Beijing, 2024 location still undetermined

The International Olympic Committee has announced that the Canadian broadcast rights for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and the 2024 Summer Olympics have been awarded to CBC/Radio-Canada.

The broadcaster will also be a broadcast partner for the IOC’s new global digital Olympic Channel from 2016 until 2023 at least, providing Canadian sports content for coverage on Olympic Movement between the games, it said in a release.

After serving as the broadcaster for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, CBC/Radio-Canada will now serve as the broadcaster for the next five Olympics: 2016 in Rio De Janeiro, 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea, 2020 in Tokyo, 2022 in Beijing, and 2024 in a yet to be determined location.

CBC/Radio-Canada will once again work with Bell Media and Rogers Media as its Olympic broadcasting partners.
