CBS Assets Worth Less

CBS Assets Worth Less

“Traditional broadcasting assets are worth less than they were a few years ago.” That’s one financial analyst, speaking to the N.Y. Post, in reaction to financial numbers from CBS that lowered the value of its broadcasting assets to reflect slower advertising growth.
“CBS has now cut the value of its 39 TV stations and 179 radio stations to less than $30 billion, half of what Redstone paid for most of the assets in 2000 and 2001,” the Post summarized.
