CBS Radio Extends Thomas

Multi-position player has national and regional VP positions

CBS Radio has announced an extension for Mike Thomas, currently vice president for Sports Programming for CBS Radio and also vice president of programming for the company’s five-station cluster in Boston.

CBS Radio Executive Vice President of Programming Chris Oliviero complimented Thomas on his ability to handle both spoken word (CBS Radio sports) and music and added, “I look forward to partnering closely with Mike for years to come on growing our Boston properties along with our industry-leading sports platform coast to coast.”

In his vice president of Sports Programming position Thomas serves as an advisor to the company’s 18 dedicated sports stations. With his Boston hat on, he has oversight of the cluster’s five stations — WBZ(AM/FM), WBMX(FM), WODS(FM) and WZLX(FM). He also serves as program director of WBZ(FM) and WZLX, a role he has held since 2009.
