CBS Radio Names Blum VP of Branded Content Solutions

Taps Morelli to fill VP of integrated marketing position

Alan Blum

Alan Blum will take on the newly-created position of vice president, branded content solutions for CBS Radio.

He will report to Rich Lobel, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Altitude Group, a specialized CBS marketing group.

In this role, Blum will work directly with marketers to develop cross-platform programs that build brand awareness and favorability. He will identify ways to introduce clients into a range of broadcast and digital programming, a release said.

Blum joins CBS Radio from Re:Vision, a New York City-based advertising agency he founded in 1993, and where he also served as president and executive creative director.

Additionally, Blum worked as creative at famed advertising agencies TBWA and Leo Burnett. From 2004–2007, Blum also served as task producer for Mark Burnett Productions.

Jennifer Morelli has also been named vice president of integrated marketing for CBS Radio, according to Michael Weiss, the company’s president of sales. She has served as director, integrated marketing and events for CBS Radio Chicago since 2011.

Morelli will work as the division’s liaison to its more than 125 stations, directing nontraditional sponsorship revenue generation. She will be responsible for the development and management of advertiser programs and campaigns that provide targeted brand interaction with consumers and support CBS Radio’s event and live experience business, a release explained.

For the past two years, she has led the sales team charged with developing partnerships and growing revenue using CBS Radio Chicago assets and live events. She joined CBS Radio in 2009 as integrated marketing manager for the division’s stations in Houston.

Prior to that, Morelli was with Emmis Communications in Austin, Texas, as sales promotion director (2000–01, and 2002–09) and general sales manager (2001–02). During her tenure she launched and managed the Community Outreach Marketing Department. A release said that she specializes in creating multiplatform campaigns using digital marketing, event sponsorship, brand ambassador marketing, mobile messaging, retail promotion and social media.

Morelli began her radio career at Quad City Radio Group/Sconnix Broadcasting in Davenport, Iowa, in 1997 as an account executive. Two years later, she was hired by WQRF(TV)’s sales department in Chicago.
