CBS Radio’s Phoenix, Ariz., cluster has named Dave Pugh as senior vice president/market manager and director of sales, succeeding Tim Pohlman (now SVP and market manager for Chicago). The appointment was announced in a press release by Chief Operating Officer Scott Herman, to whom Pugh will also report.
Pugh will manage the operations and sales of the market’s stations, including KMLE(FM), KOOL(FM) and KZON(FM).
Prior to joining CBS Radio, Pugh served as regional vice president of tech startup Veritone Media in San Francisco since 2014. He also previously ran his own consulting firm from 2013–2014, focusing on providing nontraditional revenue streams for various companies. From 2011–2013, Pugh was co-founder and SVP of Magic Ruby, an application development, infrastructure and advertising network for the second screen industry. Prior to that, he held various leadership roles with iHeartMedia in multiple markets, including San Francisco, Washington and Detroit.
Pugh received his degree in communications and marketing from the University of Dayton.
