Celebrity Golf Tournament a Success

Annual Broadcasters Foundation event draws celebrities and big bucks

The annual Broadcasters Foundation of America Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Tarrytown, N.Y., raised about $150,000.

Celebrities participating at the late September event included Michael J. Fox, Lou Dobbs, sports broadcast personalities Mike Breen, Sean McDonough, John Anderson and Stephen A. Smith and pro athletes Armani Toomer, Rod Gilbert and Brian Leetch.

The total number of broadcasters and celebs approached 150 and included New York City area celebrities.

The Broadcasters Foundation is a charitable group that raises money to help out broadcasters and their families who have fallen on hard times. This year’s tournament was sponsored by Evercore Wealth Management.
