Each year in the Netherlands, a broadcast tower transforms into the country’s largest Christmas tree.

Located in the city of IJsselstein, the Gerbrandy Tower has been festively illuminated since 1992.

Supplier Broadcast Partners teams up with IJsselstein’s Christmas Tree Foundation to create this dazzling display annually. The 1,200-foot tower hosts 11 FM signals that broadcast the Netherlands’ radio networks, according to data from FMList.

Broadcast Partners says 120 energy-efficient LED lights are used to light up the structure. It also works to ensure the broadcast networks using the tower aren’t impacted during the lighting process.
