Clear Channel Media and Entertainment is so happy with the performance of its Las Vegas-based iHeartRadio Music Festival that it has developed a country music version.
Scheduled for March 29, in Austin, Texas, the iHeartRadio Country Festival will be hosted by nationally-syndicated radio show host Bobby Bones.
A preliminary lineup includes Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Hunter Hayes and Dan + Shay. Clear Channel promises more.
Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises President John Sykes explained, “The response to our country performers at the last three iHeartRadio Music Festivals was so incredible we decided to create an entire show just for them.”
National Programming Platforms for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment President Tom Poleman added, “The core of our business is the bond our local stations have with our listeners and an important part of that is to give them extraordinary events no one else can provide.”
To promote the event, Clear Channel will launch a six-week nationwide drive starting next week. Clear Channel’s country format stations will lead though the promotion efforts will cross all of the company’s stations. The event will be broadcast live on Clear Channel’s country format stations and streamed on the iHeartRadio platform.
