On Air Expands Partnership With Cyanite

They provide AI-drivern insights for playlist curation

German company On Air has integrated Cyanite AI music tagging into the MusicMaster Scheduling environment for radio and other broadcast scheduling.

“This collaboration unlocks entirely new, data-driven pathways for playlist curation, helping radio stations and content creators craft smarter, emotionally resonant listening experiences,” the company said.

On Air is an international distributor of MusicMaster. The integration uses On Air’s Vertex.Framework, which allows broadcasters to enrich their music databases with structured metadata from Cyanite’s AI music tagging ,“including emotional profiles, mood dynamics, tempo, BPM and key detection.”

The announcement was made by On Air COO/CTO Kevin John Hopkins and Cyanite CEO Markus Schwarzer.

Among users of the system is MaxFive, which provides in-store radio to supermarket chains in Germany. On Air quoted Claudia Schlifni, head of music and pre-recorded radio programs at MaxFive, saying, “Each day, we schedule approximately 10,000 songs across Europe — in-store, via DAB and online.” She said the integration helps the company streamline its daily scheduling.
