Clear Channel’s buyout deal is almost there.
Clear Channel said this week it has filed for Department of Justice approval of its agreement, according to Dow Jones Newswires.
Company officials told the news service the deal is on track to close in the first quarter.
“The government filing may ease investor anxiety about the deal, which has been in the works for more than a year amid shareholder dissent, regulatory delays and an uncertain debt-financing market,” Dow Jones reported.
The FCC recently gave its approval.
