Is consolidation about to change the advertising landscape? Cumulus Media thinks so, and they’ve jumped in with a new tool known as Cumulus Digital C-Suite. The company describes it as “a comprehensive portfolio of digital marketing solutions.” C-Suite is being released in 90 markets across the U.S., and with it, local Cumulus Media account executives will be able to offer clients advertising solutions in radio, digital and social.
According to a release, buyers can develop a customized solution these three distinct areas that can be used in any combination which will achieve their digital marketing goal, all from a single point of contact.
Cumulus Digital C-Suite has been undergoing market testing with local advertisers for the past year, and has been tweaked to offer products that offer the best results. The move represents an evolution of the traditional radio sales department into a provider of turnkey solutions across multiple media platforms, the company said.
The release comes at a time when radio’s grip on local advertising dollars appears to be slipping.RW recently reported about a BIA/Kelsey report which showed that mobile had bumped radio out of a top five spot among local ad contributors. The report also anticipates growth in social media advertising, along with local online and mobile video.
