Delphi and XM are extending their Roady line of satellite radios. They tout the RoadyXT as the smallest, thinnest satellite radio on the market. It weighs just under 3 ounces and is about 6/10ths of an inch deep. The radio has an FM transmitter so it can transmit the XM signal wirelessly.
The unit has customizable sports and stock “tickers.” A TuneSelect feature lets listeners know when favorite songs and artists are played on an XM channel. The companies say the design improves on the previous Roady with a brighter display screen and backlit keys for better visibility.
The radio will be in retail stores in late September and retails for around $100.
