DHD audio promoted Marc Herrmann to managing director. He joins co-founder Joerg M. Deubner and Anne Philipp on the board.
Hermann succeeds co-founder Sven Hoffmann, who will continue as a consultant and software developer.
The company, based in Germany, makes digital audio studio equipment and systems for professional applications in broadcast control rooms, DJ-operated radio studios, remote trucks, SNG vans, ingest stations and edit suites. Its line also includes routing and talkback matrices, AoIP interfaces and supporting software.
Hermann holds a bachelor of engineering (media and acoustical engineering) degree as well as an MBA. He started working in audio in 2012 as a live sound and event technician, progressing to web and interface design. He joined DHD in 2016 working at first in technical support before moving to product management.
“His new role includes responsibility for product and software development with a focus on maintaining DHD’s leadership in the creation of advanced digital audio systems for use in audio production studios and broadcast stations,” the company said in its release.
