The DCR-X is an FM antenna from Dielectric Communications, shown at the NAB Radio Show. The company said it has improved on earlier designs by using solid insulator supports, a radial pressure seal, standard lightning protection and a variable transformer with each array. The latter allows for VSWR optimization after installation, the company said, with no need for complicated shorting stubs.
Directional patterns are available for the DCR-X, as is half-wave spacing to meet new safety standards. It can be ordered to broadcast one or multiple signals. Info: www.dielectric.com.
