Digidesign Acquires Wizoo to Advance Post

Digidesign has acquired a German effects developer, Wizoo Sound Design. The company says it hopes to advance music creation tools and sound design for post production.
Wizoo-branded products include Darbuka Arabic and Latigo Latin percussion effects, and WizooVerb, which enables stereo room emulations based on impulse responses, a proprietary algorithm or a combination of both technologies.
Current Wizoo-branded products will continue to be distributed through Digidesign’s M-Audio business unit. Future products will be branded as Digidesign.
