Dollar General Stores to Roll Out AI-Enabled In-Store Audio Network

QSIC is providing the audio network to about 6,000 stores in 48 states

Dollar General has announced the planned rollout of an AI-enabled in-store audio network from QSIC to approximately 6,000 DG stores in 48 states.

As part of a deal with QSIC, Dollar General said it will be able to deliver localized and measurable audio content and ads to customers while providing advertisers with data-driven advertising opportunities at one of the nation’s most expansive retail footprints.

The rollout will double DG’s existing in-store audio presence, bringing the total number of DG stores with in-store audio capabilities to approximately 12,000 in Q2 2026.

“This platform allows us to deliver localized, real-time messaging at scale across the thousands of communities we serve – especially in underserved and often overlooked rural areas,” said Austin Leonard, vice president and general manager of DG Media Network.

Dollar General operates more than 20,000 stores across the United States, with approximately 75% of the U.S. population living within five miles of a location, many of those being in rural communities.

QSIC is a global in-store audio platform that uses AI and data intelligence. It works with retailers and brands to enhance in-store media by integrating point of sales data, curated music and AI-generated audio ads to deliver targeted messaging.
