Lawo has announced that Dutch outside broadcast service provider United has equipped its new OB16 production truck with a Lawo mc256 audio mixing console to serve as the truck’s centerpiece. United also added L-S-B’s Virtual Studio Manager to the trucks.
The mc256 integrates with a Nova73 compact core, a large audio router, to make the mixing console an advanced system controller, explains Lawo.
Equipped with MADI, the router allows for simultaneous transfer of up to 64 audio channels over a single fiber-optic link, says the firm.
The truck’s Riedel Artist Intercom System connects to the Lawo audio distribution architecture via MADI.
The Virtual Studio Manager system is a software that provides overall control for central automation of all systems in the production truck. With the system labels being LCD displays, the VSM control system can set, save and recall them for any situation, points out Lawo.
