Ecreso Transmitters Go to Congo

Congolese broadcaster takes delivery of two Ecreso FM transmitters

WorldCast Systems recently sold two fully equipped Ecreso 3000 W FM transmitters to a broadcaster in the Republic of the Congo.

The deal, which the firm explains, was brokered by French-based systems integrator, Eurocom Broadcast, consisted of replacing the station’s existing FM transmitter, increasing the power level from 100 W to 3 kW.

Shipped to the broadcaster in June, each Ecreso FM 3000 W transmitter is fitted with a fully digital exciter, two 1500 W amplifiers and an Ecreso FM coupler. The configuration also delivers, says the firm, audio quality and reliability, efficiency of up to 70 percent as well as features such as remote analysis and control via TCP/IP, Advanced Measurement Interface and Expert Maintenance Reporting.

Additional broadcast tools built in to the system include a stereo encoder, RDS encoder, audio backup and an FM limiter. The modular system is centrally managed by the Ecreso exciter, which monitors and establishes the total output power, automatically compensating for any incidence of RF power loss.
