We have been telling you about election coverage plans by various radio networks and organizations. Here’s a further sampling.
Univision America, the AM radio station arm of Spanish-language network Univision, laid out its coverage plans.
Until 7 p.m., coverage is being be led by Fernando Espuelas and Helen Aguirre. Some programs are encouraging social media participation.
Univision America, a network of nine stations in mostly major markets, is also telling listeners to follow along online or via the Univision Radio app.
After 7 p.m., when the polls close and official results are announced, Univision Network News will be added to carry breaking news and results.
Meanwhile, no one can accuse Sirius XM of shirking on its Tuesday election coverage. The satcaster has an ample list of channels and programs that will either be devoted to coverage or at least offer a special look.
Not surprisingly the P.O.T.U.S. political channel, along with SiriusXM Left and SiriusXM Patriot, will be swimming in news and returns. And it would surprise no one that Glenn Beck’s The Blaze channel will be hip deep in electoral discussions all day and night. And naturally there will be the branded channels from other news and information providers like BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, CNN, C-SPAN, Fox, HLN, MSNBC and NPR.
The Twitter channels as well will be utilizing that platform to follow and react to events as they happen across the nation. Other specialty channels such as The Power, OutQ, Catholic Channel, Inspirante, BYU Radio, HUR Voices and BuzzFeed will devote varying levels of programming to the election.
For those who are tired of it all but still can’t break away, the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and the Rotten Tomatoes will provide their own unique takes — while the Playboy Playmates promise an “Election Night Special.”
