Emmis Streams Hot 97 With Amp’d

Emmis station WQHT(FM) station in New York is doing a deal with entertainment company Amp’d Mobile, calling it a new and inventive way to reach audience.
For five weeks, the station has been streamed to Amp’d Mobile customers and has become the top radio music channel on the service, the broadcaster said.
“Under the partnership, Hot 97 fans can purchase Amp’d Mobile phones on www.hot97.com and Amp’d content will also be seamlessly integrated into Hot 97 programming over the coming weeks.”
Emmis is promoting what it calls a “total engagement strategy” when working with marketing partners. It said it has revamped its internal marketing and sales at its New York stations. Emmis also recently announced the introduction of a Lifestyle Engagement Group within its sales force.
Amp’d Mobile is a mobile entertainment company that targets “youth, young professionals and early adopters.”
