Axia Audio has upgraded its IP-Audio Driver for Windows. Among its various new features, Version 2.4.8.12 increases the number of streams supported from 16 to 24 in the OEM version.
With the IP-Audio Driver, it is possible to extract premium-quality digital audio from a standard PC without any need for a soundcard.
By installing the Axia driver, the user PC becomes an Axia “audio node” and its Ethernet port can connect directly to a Livewire network, with the Axia driver handling all necessary audio conversions.
The PC is then able to send stereo audio to any network destination and simultaneously record or audition any other network source as well.
Other new features of Version 2.4.8.12 include new audio metering, clipping and silence detection functions, plus enhanced real-time monitoring of audio stream statistics.
Two versions are available: a one-input, one-output version for use with audio editing workstations, and a 24-in/24-out version.
