Entercom Announces New PDs

Walker and O’Connell take on new roles

Entercom has named two new program directors in Greensboro, N.C., and Miami.

Greensboro’s WPAW(FM) has promoted Clay Walker to program director, replacing Dale O’Brian who continues in his role as morning on-air talent. Walker was most recently digital integration director and assistant program director for the station. Walker has served as WPAW employee for 11 years.

Entercom also named John O’Connell as PD for WKIS(FM) in Miami. He will retain his current responsibilities for WSFS(FM).

O’Connell began his radio career in Boston at WXKS(FM). In 1995, he moved south to WIRK(FM) in West Palm Beach, Fla., and was also on the team at WOMX(FM) and other stations in south and central Florida. Prior to Entercom Miami, he was the PD at WHFS(AM/FM) and WQYK(FM) in Tampa.
