2025 NAB Show New York Agenda Takes Shape

Registration opens in late July

With registration for NAB Show New York set to open next month, organizers are releasing sneak peaks of the show agenda.

Scheduled for Oct. 21–23 at the Javits Center in NYC, NAB Show New York is marketed as “the premier East Coast event and marketplace for the broadcast, media and entertainment industry, held in the media capital of the world.”

This year, the show will feature several notable learning tracks and conferences, which will be laid out in more detail below.

NAB said Wednesday, Oct. 22, will focus on broadcast television and radio with a new “Future of Journalism Symposium,” as well as a “Sports Conference Track.”

Additionally, Thursday, Oct. 23, will highlight creators, emerging technologies and the “modern media landscape,” kicking off with a fireside chat with Alessandra Catanese, CEO of the comedy brand Smosh.

“Alessandra will reveal strategies for building and monetizing loyal fan communities through exclusive content, live streams and direct engagement — offering actionable insights into the future of audience connection in a shifting cultural and media landscape,” said NAB in a press release.

Last year, NAB Show New York drew 12,000 attendees and 250 exhibitors — 50 of which were first-timers.

New in 2025:

  • The Future of Journalism Symposium: It will explore the use of AI in news production, automated reporting, hybrid funding models and niche journalism.
  • Sports Track: A dedicated programming track that will bring together broadcasters, professional leagues/athletes, technology providers and influencers to learn about solutions powering the latest trends in live sports content production and delivery.
  • Creator Economy: A full-day deep dive into the creator economy with immersive sessions, VIP tours, networking events, hands-on demos, as well as the ability for creators to test-drive advancements in camera, sound and lighting on their own throughout the show.

Additional Conference Programming:

  • NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner: Oct. 21
  • Radio + Podcast Interactive Forum: Oct. 22
  • Local TV Strategies (with TVNewsCheck): Oct. 22
  • Post|Production World New York (with Future Media Conferences): Oct. 22–23
  • Career Fair, hosted by the NAB Leadership Foundation

For the first time since 2016, the annual AES Show will not be collocated at the Javits Center; as Radio World has previously reported. AES will be held in Long Beach, Calif., this fall.
