Entercom Atlanta Embraces Christmas Music on HD2 Signal

Halloween wasn’t even over when an Atlanta station replaced “Monster Mash” with “Jingle Bells”

Halloween wasn’t even over when an Atlanta station replaced “Monster Mash” with “Jingle Bells” — Entercom Atlanta says WSTR(HD2) on 94.1 will be devoted exclusively to festive Christmas tunes now through Dec. 25.

Branded as “The Star Christmas Channel,” the station “will feature classic and contemporary Christmas music” on its HD2 signal, according to a press release from Entercom Atlanta.

“For people who love Christmas music, this will truly be an early present worth unwrapping in the car, on the internet at or via the Star 94.1 mobile app,” said Program Director Tony Lorino.

And those listeners who turn the dial every time we hear “Rudolph” playing before Thanksgiving, will hopefully have at least one refuge from Christmas music — WTSR(FM).
