Entercom Fined $55,000 for Indecency

The FCC has proposed a penalty of $55,000 against Entercom-owned KRXQ(FM) Sacramento, Calif. for two shows aired in 2003. For each of the broadcasts, KRXQ was fined the $27,500 maximum per incident because of the “egregious” nature of the violations and because Entercom has been punished for indecency violations in the past, said the agency. The company had 30 days to request that the fine be cancelled, reduced or to pay the amount.
