Entercom Communications announced that Gene Vidler has joined the New Orleans cluster as the director of sales for WEZB(FM), WKBU(FM), WWWL(AM), WLMG(FM) and WWL(AM/FM). Additionally, Entercom has tapped Zach “Vaughn” McHugh as the program director and afternoon drive show host on WRXL(FM) in Richmond, Va.

During his 20 year career, Vidler has held sales positions in Nebraska, Arkansas and Oklahoma. He started his radio sales career in Shreveport, La., with Great Empire Broadcasting’s KWKH in 1993. Vidler grew up in the region and will now work for stations that he listened to when he was young, according to the release.

McHugh joins WRXL from sister station WSFS(FM) in Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he served as music director and afternoon drive host. In addition to leading the team at WRXL, McHugh will also spearhead the station’s events, including Big Field Day Music Festival and Miracle on Broad Street.

His afternoon drive show airs weekday afternoons.
