ESPN Radio Adds Player

New streaming tool available for listeners

No one can accuse ESPN Radio of resting on its laurels when it comes to the challenge of new media.

Now the radio arm of the sports media empire has released ESPN Audio Now, a “player” for ESPN podcasts, programming and select material available at the website.

Among features of ESPN Audio Now is a built-in, DVR-style function that allows listeners to “rewind” a program, even one they have not recorded. It also has behavioral predictive algorithms that note program choices and can offer suggestions of additional similar material or programs that might be of interest to the listener.

ESPN Audio Now can handle standard Internet streaming feeds from ESPN Radio stations and it includes the now seemingly requisite Facebook and Twitter interfaces.
