Friday (May 30) is the extended deadline for proposals to the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society for fall papers.
The presentations are for the 58th Annual Broadcast Symposium later this year in Virginia.
The organization wants to hear from researchers, developers, service providers and suppliers of technology, equipment, systems and consumer devices, as well as content originators and distributors. Full papers would be due in August.
Areas of interest include technical issues associated with the termination of analog television broadcasting; repurposing of analog television broadcast transmitters; digital radio and TV systems; streaming, IPTV, VoIP, VoD, Mobile TV, wireless multimedia; wireless broadband networks; and transmission, propagation, reception and re-distribution of broadcast signals.
