FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski will take part in a session at the upcoming NAB Show.
He’ll participate in a question and answer session with NAB Joint Board Chair & Meredith Corporation President Paul Karpowicz on Wednesday, April 10 at 9 a.m.
NAB President/CEO Gordon Smith said the broadcast lobbying organization is eager to host the chairman once again and hear his views on current and future communications issues.
Genachowski was sworn in as chairman in June 2009 after spending more than 10 years in the private sector as an executive and entrepreneur in the technology industry. He co-founded LaunchBox Digital and Rock Creek Ventures, where he worked as managing director, and he was a special advisor at General Atlantic.
Previously, Genachowski worked at the FCC in the 1990s; he was chief counsel to FCC Chairman Reed Hundt and special counsel to then-FCC General Counsel William Kennard, who was later named FCC chairman.
The NAB Show is April 6–11 in Las Vegas.
