No date is set for the pending AM auction; but the FCC is moving through the paperwork. It now has dismissed 54 auction applications. In each case, the applicant didn’t file proper forms or pay the filing fees on time, the agency stated. These were applications for frequencies from Auction 84 – frequencies only sought by one entity.
On Nov. 17, the Media Bureau released a list of AM Auction applications for which it needed more information. The deadline for filing a complete FCC Form 301 application was Jan. 18.
Auction 84 has not been scheduled yet.
