The FCC has extended its comment deadline in the broadcast localism proceeding.
Comments to Docket 04-233 are now due April 28 and replies on June 11.
Several broadcasters, including NAB, NPR and many state broadcast associations, asked for more time to “review the comprehensive record, investigate and provide the commission meaningful comments in light of the broad and material effects of this proceeding,” the FCC paraphrased in its decision.
The initial due dates were March 14 for comments and April 14 for replies.
No one opposed the extension, the agency said.
