FCC Reorg. Effective 3/25

FCC Reorg. Effective 3/25

The reorganization of several of the FCC’s bureaus goes into effect March 25. The agency periodically reorganizes to improve efficiency.
Broadcasters should note the Mass Media and Cable Bureaus are being folded into one to be called the Media Bureau. Former Cable Bureau Chief Ken Ferree is chief of the new Media Bureau. Former Mass Media Bureau Chief Roy Stewart is chief of the office of Broadcast License Policy within the Media Bureau.
The commission has created a new web site on the FCC’s reform efforts, which can be found at: http://www.fcc.gov/fcc_reform/
