To say that the multiheaded Fox Sports hydra has its eyes on the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star Game would be an understatement. Between the main TV network sports operation, its new cable sports channel, its web operation and its radio shows, the hoteliers and restaurateurs of the Twin Cities are seeing a lot of foxes these days.
But we’re only concerned with Fox Sports Radio.
Starting this weekend, FSR is devoting a considerable amount of airtime to the Tuesday night game. The various talk shows, when not talking about the game, will be featuring “interviews with players, managers and Hall of Famers, as well as baseball insiders and experts …”
Fox Sports radio is also sending the “Steve Gorman Sports!” show to Target Field in Minneapolis, the site of the game. Steve Gorman and Jeffrey Gorman will be camped at the right field entrance for three days, doing a live show, 3–6 p.m. ET. No word if they’ll be shagging fly balls.
