Dr. Frank Wright has been chosen to lead Salem Communications as its new president and chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1. He will report to CEO Edward Atsinger, according to a release.
Wright has served as the president and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters association for 11 years. Before his tenure at the NRB, Wright worked as the executive director of the Center for Christian Statesmanship in Washington.
“Frank has nearly 20 years’ experience working on Capitol Hill, 10 years’ experience working with the Federal Communications Commission and various executive branch agencies and more than 20 years’ experience working in and with broadcast media organizations,” Atsinger said of Wright. “Frank has also developed a robust network among D.C.-based public policy organizations, as well as D.C.-based political organizations.”
