To help broadcasters jump onto the green bandwagon the National Association of Broadcasters and the Environmental Protection Agency have partnered to produce “Going Green: A Broadcaster’s Guide to Acting Locally.”
This is a guidebook for “suggested efforts stations can undertake to promote a more eco-friendly environment and healthier lifestyle,” according the NAB. The guide was mailed to NAB members in advance of Earth Day. A PDF is also available at the association’s Web site.
NAB President/CEO David Rehr said of the effort, “Small changes make a big difference, and when radio and television stations take action, the environment benefits, our communities benefit and the world benefits.”
“Earth Month” PSAs are also available from the NAB.
