Hatfield Keeps an Eye On AOL-Time Warner

Dale Hatfield, the former head of the FCC’s Office of Engineering & Technology, will oversee the merger of America Online’s merger with Time Warner. As monitor trustee, Hatfield is responsible for ensuring the company lives up to its commitments to ensure competition is fields such as Internet access over high-speed cable TV lines and interactive TV. The Federal Trade Commission and the combined AOL-Time Warner approved his appointment.
