Arbitron said it received its first eDiary, an Internet-based diary targeted for those markets that won’t be measured by its Portable People Meter.
A 31-year-old Honolulu woman submitted the eDiary for the Jan. 11-17 survey week. Her entries totaled seven hours of listening, all of it in-car.
Arbitron introduced the eDiary in the Winter 2007 survey to give Internet-savvy respondents the option to use a tool that better fits their habits. The company believes one in 20 survey respondents will choose the eDiary over the standard paper diary.
