Hurricane Rita Top of Mind for Engineers

In the hallways of the NAB Radio Show, we’re hearing the engineers of top radio groups that have stations in the Houston and Galveston markets discuss their Hurricane Rita preparation plans. They’re shipping satellite phones, fuel and other supplies to locations they can get to after the storm and discussing how they would evacuate their staffs and broadcast their programming from alternate sites depending on which direction the hurricane takes.
