IBB Contract Includes $680,000 Base Year

More details are available on that contract for FM systems awarded to Harris by the U.S. government’s International Broadcasting Bureau, which we first reported here two weeks ago.
A bureau official tells Radio World Online that the award includes a base year of $680,000, with a yearly minimum of $50,000 for the base year and four option years, which may be exercised based on availability of funding.
The award is for FM broadcast transmission systems for delivery to BBG/IBB transmitting sites throughout the world. Each transmission system is to be configured for a specific location and will be delivered to the IBB’s shipping expediter in Washington.
The contract includes Harris FM transmitters as well as antennas from Shively Labs and Orban products from CRL Systems Inc.
